Former LSU wrestler known as Earthquake dies
John Tenta, who wrestled professionally as Earthquake, has died at the age of 42.
Tenta, who was born in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, was a standout wrestler at LSU before beginning his professional wrestling career in 1989.
He wrestled for several promotions, including the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), where he was known for his Earthquake character, and World Championship Wrestling (WCW).
Tenta retired from wrestling in 2004 due to health problems.
He died on June 7, 2006, in St. Petersburg, Florida.
